The WhatsNext verdict

If you want claustrophobic psychological horror with oppressive sound, memorable retro presentation, and story meaning hidden in the environment, Lost in Vivo delivers strongly. Expect serviceable combat and a deliberately cryptic, compact experience.

What it does best

  • Claustrophobic psychological horror that keeps tightening

  • Sound makes empty spaces feel actively dangerous

  • Retro visuals that make the nightmare feel personal and unreal

  • You piece together the meaning from places and symbols

What might put you off

  • Combat feels weaker than the horror around it

  • The story can feel cryptic or rough-edged
